Willi-Hennig-Symposium

Zu Beginn der Ausstellung findet ein dreitägiges Willi-Hennig-Symposium mit öffentlichem Vortragsprogramm zum Themenbereich Evolution statt, zu dem bekannte Spitzenwissenschaftler aus dem In- und Ausland als Referenten eingeladen werden.

On the occasion of the 200^th anniversary of Charles Darwin in 2009 and the 150th anniversary of his book "The origin of species” the University of Hohenheim holds a symposium Sep 29 to October 2 2009. The symposium gathers scientists from different disciplines of evolutionary biology to have an exchange on the current understanding of evolution. The symposium is named after Willi Hennig (1913-1976), the Stuttgart-based founder of phylogenetic systematics.
